At the end of the season, two players can be kept on the same roster for the following season. The cost to keep will be a draft pick that is +1 from when that player was originally drafted.
For example:
- Baker Mayfield was drafted in the fourth round of the 2019 Draft
- At the end of the 2019 season, Danny elects Baker Mayfield as one of his two Keepers for that year. This will cost him his 2020 third round draft pick.
- When the 2020 Draft begins, the commissioner will pre-populate Danny’s third round selection with Baker Mayfield.
The following rules and restrictions apply to Keepers as well:
- Players cannot be kept for more than 3 years total
- Players drafted in the 1st round cannot be kept due to the cost being +1 from where the player was originally drafted.
- Keeper costs will follow a player through trade transactions. The Keeper cost will only reset for a player if that player has been kept for more than 3 years, or isn’t kept and is a part of a normal draft. Some example scenarios:
- After selecting Baker Mayfield in the fourth round of the 2019 Draft, Danny trades him to Anh Tien.
- At the end of the 2019 season, Danny elects Baker Mayfield as one of his two Keepers for that year. This will cost him his 2020 third round draft pick.
OR
- After drafting Baker Mayfield in the fourth round of the 2019 draft, Danny drops Mayfield to the waiver wire.
- Anh Tien picks up Baker Mayfield from the waiver wire and elects him as one of his two keepers for the 2020 season. This will still cost him a 2020 third round draft pick.
OR
- At the end of the 2019 season, Danny has elected to keep Baker Mayfield at the cost of the 2020 third round draft pick.
- In 2020, Danny drops Baker Mayfield to the waiver wire.
- In 2020, Anh Tien picks up Baker Mayfield from the waiver wire and elects to keep him for the 2021 season.
- Anh Tien will spend a 2021 second round draft pick to keep Baker Mayfield, who can only be kept two more times.
A player cannot be kept if a manager does not have a draft pick to spend on that keeper in that round.
For example:
- Danny drafts Baker Mayfield in the fourth round of the 2019 Draft
- Danny trades away his 2020 third round draft pick to Anh Tien.
- Danny cannot keep Baker Mayfield as he does not have a 2020 third round draft pick to spend.
If a manager has two draft picks in the same round (acquired through trade), that manager is able to use both draft picks to keep players from their rosters.
The trade deadline is the Sunday of Week 10. Prior to the deadline, managers may trade any rostered players or the following years draft picks to any other manager.
Trading Picks:
- If draft picks are involved, both managers must include the same amount of draft picks in the transaction (this is because every manager must have 14 draft picks at minimum).
- All draft picks are eligible to trade
- When draft picks are a part of an approved transaction, both managers involved in the trade must transfer next year’s league dues to the commissioner. This payment will be kept and used for the following year’s buy in fee.
- League dues will be the same as the current year’s buy in. If the buy in amount is changed for the following year, a partial refund or additional payment required will be issued.
Trade Vetoes:
- Vetoes will be handled by the commissioner. Trades that are subject to veto are trades where there is proof of collusion that negatively affects the spirit of fair play.
Trade Processing:
- After a trade is accepted, the league will take 3 days to process the trade. If both parties agree, the transaction can be approved by the commissioner and be instantly processed.
The waiver wire priority will be determined by Free Agent Acquisition Budget priority (on a weekly rolling basis) and resets on Tuesday at midnight. The FAAB seasonal budget is $100 and cannot be replenished for any reason during the course of a season. In the event of a tie in a waiver wire bid, the manager with the lower standing in the league will take priority (seasonal league standings, not weekly standings in performance).
The consolation tournament will take place on week 14. The bottom six in the regular season standings will automatically be entered into the consolation tournament. The winner of the consolation tournament will receive a consolation prize for their efforts. Blowout rules will still apply during the consolation tournament. The last place finish in the consolation tournament will be subject to a heavy punishment.
At the end of the regular season (conclusion of Week 13), the managers in the top 6 positions will enter the championship playoff bracket while the managers in the bottom 6 positions will enter the consolation tournament. Standings will be based off of win %, followed by Points For as a tiebreaker.
Draft order will also be determined by the regular season standings. Last place will have first choice on their draft position for the following year (followed by 11th, etc.).
